Archived Projects

If you’re a prolific creator or team, you’ve probably noticed that your Current Projects page in the Creator Portal can become bloated with islands, making it harder to find the specific island you’re currently iterating on.

It is possible to separate islands that are still in progress from islands that are complete by archiving completed islands without losing their published status.

When you archive an island, it is removed from the Current Projects page and moved to the Archived Projects page for all team members.

An archived project can’t be published, transferred to a different team, or worked on unless it is first unarchived. You can unarchive an island at any point without changing its published status.

Archiving an island doesn’t change how players find or play the island, or affect gameplay.

Archiving Best Practices

While you can archive any island, an island you archive should meet some or all of the following criteria:

  • It’s been more than two months since you last iterated on the island, and you have no plans to iterate in the near future.
  • You’re confident and happy with the island experience as it is and don’t plan to touch it again for at least two months.
  • You’ve changed the island status from public to private and don’t want it to show in the Current Projects list.
