Placeable Ledge Devices

Ledge launching is a variation of mantling. While mantling is a way to scale a vertical or almost vertical surface, ledge launching is a way a player can push off from a suspended horizontal surface.

Player-built walls, or PBWs, can be used to ledge launch if the PBWs Generate Ledges setting is set to On under Player Settings.

With the Placeable Ledge device, you have the option of placing ledge-launching devices on any surface, or even placing them midair, whether or not the island setting for PBWs Generate Ledges is enabled. Allow Mantling must be enabled for it to work.

Once placed, a player can mantle to the ledge, then launch off by holding down the Jump button.

You can place the Placeable Ledge device anywhere, but it makes the most sense to place it against a wall or other vertical surface.
